Shelley Fuhr is an imaginative, wander-filled artist, with a passion for digital art. Her creative journey began with studying at the Johannesburg School of Art, where she was classically trained in painting. She went on to learn dress design at Gordon Flack Davidson. Shelley won the best dress designer award and dressed two Miss World’s in the Miss World competition.
Shelley studied digital art in the USA and in Venice, where she acquired a deep seated love and appreciation for the future forward medium. She won numerous awards in the USA and is in the Hall of Fame.
She has never looked back on her choice to colour the world with an advanced digital technique that brings technology and paintbrush together, seamlessly.
As the artist in her community, Shelley designs and retails her art pieces on her ArtzCafe gifting site. Shelley works with a variety of materials including, glass, resin, wood, ink, gems, glitter and gold, silver, copper, bronze and mirror. She is particularly passionate about Geode and working with alcohol ink. When she’s not working in her Johannesburg studio, Shelley is an active mother, grandmother and hostess of many an elegant occasion in her home
